Back from Urbana

Hello Internets!

There are al kinds of lessons from Urbana.  We were encouraged not to talk about how awesome the worship experience was, or how great the speakers were, but about who God is and what God did and said through Urbana.

The theme verse of Urbana09 was John 1:14: "The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth."  The convention focused on Jesus incarnation as a model for missions.  He moved into our neighborhood.

Through Urbana God made it plain to Belinda and I that his primary call for our lives is to be incarnational missionaries to the city of Rochester.  And that, my friends, is a very exciting call.
