I honestly had never really considered this issue before. Is the Church holy? Or is it sinful, because of its sinful constituents? Here's an
interesting article from
catholicanarchy.org on that very debate. Of course, the "Church" in their article is not the same Church that I would speak of. Perhaps the institutional Church is sinful, while the Bride has been justified, is spotless, or at the very least is being made holy.

How about a more fundamental question: are saved Christians sinful or holy (or both)? We are sinners, to be sure, but one could only call us "sinful" if that could somehow overlap with holy. Or are holiness and sinfulness mutually exclusive?
