the return of free convection

I should have written an "I'm going away" post, but failed to have that forethought.  So here's the afterthought.

I was away for a week co-leading the Rochester Urban Plunge.  More info in that regard will come, including some lessons learned, some good stories, some goals for the future, and whatever other thoughts float through my fingers.  But for now, free convection has officially returned from inexplicable absence.
