So it is sad that the detailed traditions associated with the Lord's Supper have caused division. To say it is just a meal however, is perhaps too flippant. By the time Paul wrote 1 Corinthians 11 this is already an important practice in the life of the church, and he adds some solemnity to it by means of judgments for being flippant with it.<br />Jesus said to do this in remembrance of him, quite clearly.
